National Support School
The National College for Teaching and Leadership has designated Worlingworth CEVC Primary School as a National Support School, and Mrs Gascoyne-Cecil as a National Leader of Education. This designation is in recognition of our ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted inspection, our academic results, and progress and the work we have done to improve Worlingworth and the support we are now providing to other schools.
National Support Schools are designed to support schools in challenging circumstances and use the skills of their staff to build capacity in other schools. We will continue to work alongside the Mid Suffolk Teaching School Alliance (Debenham High School) to manage any support.
Whilst initially, this designation may appear to be taking away our talented staff from our school, this is more a formalisation of the work we are already doing. The designation comes with funding to enable us to build capacity at Worlingworth to continue this work. It will also help us to retain and recruit talented staff, giving them wider opportunities to work across a partnership as well as in a school-to-school support role. This will also ensure that Worlingworth is more sustainable into the future, continuing to provide an Outstanding education to our children.
